An annual emergency-communications exercise in which operators establish temporary stations, often outdoors and in challenging winter conditions.

The national ARRL Field Day takes place during the fourth weekend in June. Operators use portable or emergency power and make contacts while demonstrating amateur radio to the public.

The club treats both Field Days as major events, setting up for the weekend and combining radio operations with emergency-preparedness practice and club fellowship.
