One of Western New York's most active amateur-radio organizations.
The clubhouse is open for current and prospective members every Thursday starting at 6 PM. Four complete HF operating stations, each equipped with an Icom IC-7600 and PC, are available for operating and learning.
First Tuesday of the month except in July and August, at the Lancaster Office of Emergency Management on the road to the clubhouse, across from the Highway Department driveway. Programs have included amateur radio, search and rescue, Scouting, camping/survival and NOAA SKYWARN.
Every Monday at 8 PM on 147.255 MHz (+0.600 MHz offset), PL 107.2. Open to all licensed amateurs regardless of club affiliation.
Winter and summer Field Day are major W2SO events focused on emergency preparedness and portable operating.
